A 14 anni l'aspirazione di diventare disegnatore di fumetti diventa forte. Fino al diploma di perito commerciale cerca in tutti i modi di contattare case editrici e disegna ininterrottamente alla ricerca di uno stile personale che lo soddisfi, intanto dipinge e fotografa. 1977-78, un anno al D.A.M.S. di Bologna (Disciplina delle Arti, Musica e Spettacolo). Subito dopo supera l’esame di ammissione all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, che frequenta per 5 anni, poi l'abbandono perché finalmente la sua aspirazione diventa realtà. Nel 1982 pubblica la prima storia a fumetti, a colori, come professionista, sulla rivista Orient Express di Luigi Bernardi, con il personaggio di Alan Hassad, investigatore privato, la sceneggiatura è di Daniele Brolli. Sulle pagine di Orient Express nasce anche Martin Trevor e il suo primo personaggio femminile, primo di una lunga serie, Stella Noris, con la sceneggiatura di Lorena Canossa. La storia "Una sirena nella notte" viene realizzata sfruttando i fotogrammi del film hollywoodiano Traversata pericolosa, interpretato dall’attrice Jeanne Crain. Dopo la chiusura della rivista Stella Noris continuerà le sue nuove drammatiche avventure su Comic Art, fino al 1992. Contemporaneamente inizia una relativa, ma proficua, collaborazione per la pubblicità: Erg, Ferrovie dello Stato, Salvarani, Axe; il graphic-design con lo studio di Ettore Sottsass per Alessi, Philips e Matsushita; l'illustrazione editoriale per Vanity, Per Lui, Lei, Marieclaire. Anche se il fumetto rimane l'obbiettivo principale della sua creatività, all'inizio degli anni novanta approfondisce il tema dell'eros realizzando libri dove l'immagine della donna è protagonista quali Streghe & Santarelline, Fixtown Hard Female Bondage Club, My Sweet Bettie. L'uso della fotografia come ispirazione e la modella come interprete di personaggi femminili diventa una costante. Il desiderio di analizzare le realtà che lo circonda diventa un bisogno impellente. Nel 1995 inizia la collaborazione con la rivista Blue, dove trova il modo di creare nuovi personaggi, decisamente tutti da leggere in chiave erotica, Ginger&Rogers, Angela per Casa Howhard, Chiara Rosenberg con i testi di Celestino Pes, Aura, l'ultimo, sul quale sta ancora lavorando. Nel 1997 di nuovo alle prese con una importante campagna pubblicitaria per la Tim, che proseguirà per un paio d'anni. Nello stesso anno per la Kappa Edizioni esce il volumetto Sweet Susy, un altro personaggio femminile creato insieme a Elena La Spisa. In quel periodo la collaborazione con il fotografo Denni Lugli da un’ulteriore spinta alla sua ricerca personale tra foto e disegno, trovando un punto di arrivo nella realizzazione di due cofanetti, Antonella e Cinzia. 2000, a novembre, all'Expo Cartoon, in occasione di una sua personale, viene pubblicato il catalogo Percorsi, curato ed edito da Stefano Bartolomei per le Edizioni Il Penny, che ripercorre e analizza le tappe della sua carriera di autore di fumetti e non solo. Con l'incontro di Franco Saudelli e la relativa frequentazione, nasce un nuovo progetto editoriale, fonti di ispirazione le riviste Bizarre di John Willie e Exotique. Bizarreries edito dalla Glittering Images di Firenze, diventa un volume rivista, arrivato già al secondo numero, dove i due autori si sbizzarriscono a incrociare il fetish con il bondage, la fotografia con il disegno. Si è inaugurata il 2 dicembre 2000, presso la Mondo Bizzarro Gallery di Bologna, la sua prima personale di pittura. Baldazzini ha sempre dipinto, come ha sempre disegnato, ma fino a quel momento non ha mai avuto un progetto che lo convincesse per realizzare una mostra di sole tele. Le Fate di Baldazzini, il titolo della mostra, diventa una visione nuova della donna, che raccoglie in se qualcosa di magico e spirituale, un lato questo che l’autore non aveva ancora svelato. Le dimensioni dei quadri e l’uso del colore sono gli elementi che caratterizzano questi acrilici su tela. Ma è l'incanto della visione che viene rappresentato ( perché lui, quelle Fate, dice di averle viste...), e insieme quell'attimo nel quale per la prima volta lo spettatore rimane esterrefatto di fronte a qualcosa di bello, estremamente bello... I suoi libri sono stati pubblicati anche all'estero, in tutto il mondo. Ha sempre partecipato a mostre collettive e personali in Italia e all'estero. His yearning for drawing comics becomes very strong at 14. Until he gets a diploma as an expert in commerce, he tries desperately to get in touch with many publishing houses and draws unrelentingly, looking for a particular style, meanwhile he also paints and photographs. Prom 1977 to 1978 he attends Bologna’s D.A.M.S. (Discipline of Arte, Music and Entertainment). Soon after that he gets through the entrance examination at the Academy of Fine Arte of Bologna, which he attends for five years before finally leaving and becoming a pro. In 1982, Luigi Bernardi’s magazine, Orient Express, publishes his first professional work, a full colour comic story featuring the character of Alan Hassad, a private eye, written by Daniele Brolli. Orient Express also publishes Martin Trevor, his very first female leading character, the first one in a long series, Stella Noris, written by Lorena Canossa. His story "Una sirena nella notte” (literally, A Siren in the Night), is produced by “exploiting" the stills of an old classic Hollywood movie, Dangerous Crossing (1953), starring actress Jeanne Crain. After Orient Express demise, Stella Noris will continue her dramatic adventures in Comic Art Magazine, until 1992. At the same time he starts e minor, yet proficuous career in advertising: Erg, the Italian State Railways, Salvarani, Axe; he also tries his skills at graphic designing with the studio of Ettore Sottsass for the likes of Alessi, Philips and Matsushita; he also draws several illustrations for such Magazines as Vanity, Per Lui, Lei, Marieclaire. Even though comics remain the main target of his creative processes, by the early nineties he literally probes into the themes of erotic literature by producing several books where the female image is the absolute protagonist, such as Streghe & Santarelline (literally, Witches & Goody - Goody Gals), Fixtown Hard Female Bondage Club, My Sweet Betty. The use of photography as an inspiration and the female model as an interpreter of female characters, becomes e constant in his career. The desire to analyse the reality which surrounds him becomes an impellent need. In 1995 he starts cooperating with the magazine Blue, where he finds the way to create new characters, all in a plainly erotic vein, Ginger & Rogers, Angela for the She-Males, Chiara Rosenberg with a text by Celestino Pes, Aura, his latest project, on which he is working right now. In 1997 he is again working in advertising, with an important campaign for Tim, a project which goes on for a couple of years. In that year Kappa Edizioni publishes a small book titled Sweet Susy, another female character co-created with Elena La Spisa. During this important phase his cooperation with photographer Denni Lugli gives an additional drive to his personal research between photos and drawings, finding its culmination in the production of two box-sets, Antonella and Cinzia. In november 2000, the Italian Comic Convention Expo Cartoon features an exhibition of his works, following this event the catalogue Percorsi, edited and compiled by Stefano Bartolomei, is published by Edizioni Il Penny. This elegant book runs over again and analyses all the phases of his career as a comic creator and more. His friendship with Franco Saudelli produces another publishing project, inspired by such magazines as Exotique and John Willie’s Bizarre. Bizarreries published by Glittering Images of Florence, becomes a volume-magazine of sorts, the second issue of which has just been published, where the two authors literally "run wild", crossing bondage with fetish, photography with drawings. His first exhibition of paintings was first held on 2 december, 2000, by Bologna’s Mondo Bizzarro Gallery. Baldazzini has always painted, as much as he has always drawn comics but, up to that particular moment, he had never had a convincing project capable to make him finally decide to organize an exhibition of his pictures. Le Fate di Baldazzini (literally, Baldazzini’s Fairies), as the exhibition has been titled, becomes a new vision of women, one which represents something magic and spiritual, an as yet unknown side of this author. The dimension of the pictures and the use of the colours are the key elements characterizing this acrylics on canvas, Yet, what is being represented here is the incantation of the vision (since he claims he has really seen those Fairies...), as well as that particular moment where the visitor is literally amazed by something beautiful, extremely beautiful... His books have also been published abroad, practically the world over. He has always taken part in collective and personal exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad. Living and feeling, just try and believe.
